TiVo and IFC Go Broadband with Video Download Trial

TiVo Inc. and the IFC announced this week that they have launched a trial initiative that will allow TiVo subscribers to download IFC content to their TiVo DVR devices, via the Internet.
The beta test will run through the next few weeks and will allow broadband-enabled TiVo Series2 Digital Video Recording users to download episodes and related content (such as outtakes and unaired footage) from Independent Film Channel scripted series, according to a recent news release.
"This agreement will help introduce our programming to an entirely new audience," said Evan Shapiro, executive vice president for IFC, in a press release.
