Two new products are tying in podcasts and video blog support: Blinkx.tv, a search engine optimized for audio and video content on the web, today expands its range with Podcast and video blog channels. Blinkx.tv doesn't rely on transcripts supplied by content producers – instead, it indexes the actual content using voice recognition techniques. This makes the only engine that can locate content from sources that don't provide a transcript, like small-scale grass-roots podcasts and video blogs. In addition to spidering the Internet and indexing the content it finds, Blinkx.tv will allow users to submit their content directly to the engine.
